A Mauritian priest and a Mauritian bus driver both are at the gate of heaven just after they died. The bus driver was easily welcomed by God to enter to paradise, but the priest wasn’t.
Surprised, he asked God: “Why are You not allowing me to be in paradise? I have prayed You everyday, I was a good priest and was at Your service for 50 years ! How come this bus driver deserves it more than me ?”
God answered: “Son, during your offices, people were not really praying, hoping and imploring Me, while each time they took the bus, they were really praying, really hoping and really imploring Me !”

Un prêtre et un chauffeur de bus mauriciens sont tous deux aux portes du paradis, juste après leur mort. Dieu accueille le chauffeur de bus à bras ouverts, mais refuse de laisser entrer le prêtre.
Surpris, ce dernier demanda à Dieu: “Pourquoi ne me laissez-Vous pas entrer au paradis à Vos côtés ? Je Vous ai prié tous les jours, j’étais un bon prêtre à Votre service depuis plus de 50 ans ! Comment se fait-il que ce chauffeur de bus mérite d’y aller plus que moi ?”
Dieu répondit: “Fils, pendant tes messes, la foule ne priait pas vraiment, elle n’espérait pas ma venue et ne m’implorait pas; alors qu’à chaque fois qu’ils prenaient le bus, les gens me priaient vraiment, ils espéraient vraiment ma venue et m’imploraient du fond du coeur !”

Last Friday I went to a Montessori pre-primary school, La Maison des Enfants in Port-Louis, to make the annual images of the kids. As I went with them for the annual outing to Casela (a kind of zoo in Mauritius), the kids were more natural as they know me and it was easier to take good images (a famous photographer proverb says: “Kids and animals are the 2 most difficult subjects for a photographer”).
So I stayed for some 50 minutes to take group images and then individual portraits. I didn’t want to make too formal shot with the kids posing for me – I wanted them to be in their natural environment at school, doing their usual activities based on the Montessori practices. The result is really nice and I was very happy when putting together the big printed table to present to parents 
Recently, while driving to hotels for weddings or honeymoons assignments, I stopped my car to take some images of Mauritius. I’m always amazed by the beauty, the diversity and the colors of Mauritius landscapes. Here are 5 images that I particularly like:
A couple of weeks ago, I went South at Heritage Le Telfair Hotel for Terry and Neal wedding. Terry and Neal are movie producer and film director in South-Africa respectively, and it was a great honor for me to be part of their wedding. Also I was very proud when they both told me that my images are great and that I could take images during a movie … maybe their next one in South Africa ! 
Let’s get back to their wedding … there were some 50 guests coming from South-Africa, Australia … , all gathered in the splendid colonial hotel Heritage Le Telfair. Preparations were made in Terry’s patents villa at Villa Val’Riche, very close to the hotel. The ceremony was very moving and the reception very friendly, with a great atmosphere. I had a nice walk with Terry and Neal for the couple images. Let’s share some images of them !

Il y a environ 2 semaines de cela, j’ai eu le plaisir de partager une excellente journée avec Cindy et Romain pour leur lune de miel à l’Ile Maurice. Cindy et Romain sont français et viennent de Clermont-Ferrand, dans le centre de la France; ils étaient basés dans un hôtel du nord de l’ile – nous avons donc établit un beau programme pour notre excursion photographique: château colonial de Labourdonnais, jardins tropicaux de Pamplemousses, montagnes du centre près de la Nicolière avec les champs d’ananas et de cannes à sucre, l’église du Cap Malheureux avec ses belles vues sur les iles du nord, et les plages de Trou aux Biches pour le coucher de soleil.
Malgré un temps un peu couvert, nous avons eu de belles éclaircies aux bons moments. Voici quelques images que je souhaite partager avec vous:

sorry for not having very present on the Internet recently (blog, Facebook …) – I have been very busy and, since I am moving to my new apartment, I have limited Internet connection. I’ll post soon new images and news here and there !

désolé de n’avoir pas été très présent sur Internet récemment (blog, Facebook …) – je suis très occupé ces derniers temps, et avec mon déménagement dans mon nouvel appartement, j’ai un accès très limités à Internet. Mais promis, je vais mettre de nouvelles images très prochainement !
