Hi there ! We’re back from Berlin where we had an exceptional time in family. Berlin is a fantastic city for kids, with parks everywhere, lakes and beaches … Chloรฉ and Simon really appreciated – we did some bike, we chilled out at the beach, we went to the zoo, we walked in the forest, we took trains and ย the tube. Everything was such an excitement for them ๐ For us, parents, it was exciting to see the changes Berlin made in 10 years. It was great to enjoy nice places we loved when we were students … one of them being the Sony Center. Here is an image I managed to “steal” from the guards ๐
In the coming 2 months I will be extremely busy: 4 weddings, 2 family photo sessions, 1 photo shoot with a music band (hard-rock) and 3 corporate portrait sessions ! That’s quite a lot of work for the coming weeks ๐
However, don’t hesitate to contact me should you have any question or should you want to have a photo session with me. I would be glad to advise you and plan this with you ๐
10 years after my Master degree in Finance that I finished in Berlin, we are heading back to Berlin for a week ! I am very excited as Berlin is one of my favorite city in Europe. It’s a lively city, where you can feel history beating, where everything exists in double due to split in 2 zones, where you have forests and lakes in the city centre, where you can see the influences from Eastern Europe, from the French, English and American zones … It’s a city of artists, where more than hundred of different nationalities live together, it’s a city for students with great and famous universities, it’s a city of architecture where classical buildings and extremely modern ones are perfectly mixed together (10 years ago, Berlin was the largest construction area in Europe !) … well, you guess it, I’m in love with Berlin, and I’m so happy to go back there with Diane and the kids ๐
In the summer 2008 I had my first commissioned wedding in Belgium. Anne and Franck got a wonderful and unique wedding with splendid animation, venue and organization. Indeed, Franck is a wedding planner and he chose the best quality for his own wedding ! It really was a great and unique show to admire all the artists he invited: oriental dancers, street fire artists … I was very glad to share their love, happiness and emotions during this fantastic day. And I’m very happy now to be a friend of them ๐
During this Easter break we went at my parents’ place. We had a very nice time in family. I brought my small Canon G11 with me to take some images of the kids hunting for eggs … Finally, I didn’t use it a lot and took more time playing with the kids rather than taking pictures of them ๐ However, during the afternoon, I felt like I had to make some images and inspiration grew in me: good light through large white curtains, african decorations and awls (my mum likes them a lot ๐ ). I decided to take images of silhouettes against the light. I had to select a wide aperture, spot metering and macro options. Here are some results (quite good with a small point and shoot camera):
Last summer I had a very nice modeling session with my friend and colleague, Coralie. Coralie is a 24 year-old financial reporting analyst at Lombard in Luxembourg. She has a bright smile, wonderful eyes and a very positive attitude.
When I heard she already took some pictures with an amateur photographer, I asked her whether she would like to become a model of mine … and she accepted ๐ Below you will see some images of this photo session, which took place in the forest, during a sunny day. I picked up this place to play around light with reflectors – the place in the forest was rather dark with some sun rays coming in.
